Our secret weapon

Happydemic uses complex mathematical algorithms that can be broadly separated into three categories:

1. Distribution
Advertisers have predetermined budgets and target specific segments of consumers. The algorithms that calculate the consumer distribution amongst the advertisers are optimized to to guarantee proper distribution even if some advertiser's budgets are not exhausted at the end of the campaign.

2. Progression
The algorithms that calculate the advancement of each participant are optimized for :
- Maximizing the probability of winning for those that have most contributed to the success of the campaign
- Controlling the number of winners, which remains proportional to the number of total participants
- Maintaining fairness to all the participants

3. Propagation
Even though the participants' interests go hand in hand with the success of the campaign, they are not left alone during the experience. A guide advises them to continually maximize their chances of winning. However, the level at which the guide advises a participant may be too simple, or too complicated for the participant. One of our algorithms defines the optimal support level for each participant. It takes into account the course of the participant experience and their reactions to previous advice. By acting on the level of support on a daily basis, we optimize the propagation of the campaign.

The algorithms are based upon parameters that vary from campaign to campaign. At the beginning of the campaign, they are estimated based on previous campaigns. Later, they are continuously estimated based on econometric models.

The algorithms also depend on coefficients that we vary during the campaign in order to optimize the process. This optimization is performed using simulations based on a model of the campaign.

Among the algorithms that calculate the advancement of the participant here is the formula that causes the participant to advance quickly when faced with aggressive competitors.

The complexity stems from the fact that we subvert a viral propagation process, which is normally unpredictable by nature.

The Happydemic platform is transparent to the participants.

It's so easy
As is often the case with technology, the ease of use of our solutions is inversely proportional to the complexity of the systems supporting them.
